D440A Leak Detector Meets New SAE J2791 Standard

AirSept’s D440A Heated Sensor Refrigerant Leak Detector is the first to meet the new SAE J2791 specification for leak detectors. The SAE J2791 Standard establishes tougher minimum performance criteria for an improved class of electronic hand held probe-type refrigerant leak detectors capable of finding very small leaks.

AirSept’s D440A Heated Sensor Refrigerant Leak Detector is extremely sensitive. It can detect R-134a leaks as small as 0.05 oz. per year, and it is less apt to give false alarms.

A unique digital leak size indicator tells the operator when a leak is small enough to ignore. The digital display is independent from the sensitivity level, allowing precise pinpointing of the leak source.

A true mechanical pump draws gas over the sensor. A visual LED leak alarm is near the sensor tip, allowing the operator to remain focused on the area being tested. Automatic calibration and reset to ambient levels offers ease of operation

The D440A features a “Solid Electrolyte” sensor that provides 300 hours of service life. The heated sensor generates an electric current in the presence of halogen gas.
